13Account and data

13.1Will I lose data if I change phones?

No. Reports, credits and subscription status live in the cloud and are restored when you sign in to the same account.

Provided it is the same account. Common traps:

  • Registered with Apple's hidden email, then couldn't find the account on Android

  • Registered by phone number, then signed in with email on the new phone

Fix: check Me → Account for the linked sign-in methods and use the original one.

13.2Multiple devices

Signing in on several devices is supported; data syncs in real time. Only one device can generate at a time (to avoid double charging).

13.3Data export

Export is not supported yet — this version hasn't implemented it.

Planned: book export (PDF / long image) is coming. Once released it will live under Me → Settings → Data.

Until then you can:

  • Take screenshots page by page

  • Use the system share sheet to send the book link to your own email

We don't use your data for anything else — but "can you take it with you" is a separate question. That one is on us, and we'll fix it.

13.4Deleting your account

Me → Settings → Account → Delete account.

⚠️ Before you delete:

ItemWhat happens
ReportsPermanently deleted, unrecoverable
CreditsCleared, no refund, no compensation
SubscriptionNot cancelled automatically — cancel it in the app store first
Cooling-off7 days to withdraw after submitting; permanent deletion after that

13.5Privacy and same-day visibility

  • Birth details are used only for casting and generating reports

  • Personal information is never sold to third parties

What appears in same-day matching is up to you.

Under Me → Settings → Privacy → Same-day visibility you can toggle each item:

ToggleDefaultMeaning
Appear in same-day resultsOffMaster switch. When off, nobody sees you in same-day matching
Show nicknameOnWhen off, you appear as "a same-day person"
Show cityOffWhen off, no region is shown
Show birth yearOffWhen off, only month and day are shown

The default is minimum visibility: apart from your nickname, nothing is public.

Turning the master switch off removes you from other people's results immediately, with no waiting.
