Privacy Policy

1. The short version

• We collect the minimum needed to run the service: your email address and, if you choose to provide it, your birth date, birth time and birthplace used to compute your charts.
• We never sell personal data, and we don't run third-party advertising trackers in the app.
• You can delete your account and data at any time in the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or by emailing [email protected].
• Fatecho is provided for entertainment and self-exploration purposes only.

2. Who we are

Fatecho ("we", "us") operates the Fatecho mobile application and the website fatecho.app. For questions about this policy or your data, contact us at[email protected].

3. What we collect

3.1 Account data

Email address (required for sign-in and account recovery), authentication identifiers, and app settings such as language preference.

3.2 Birth data you provide

Date of birth, time of birth (optional), gender (optional), and birthplace or coordinates (optional). These are used for one purpose: computing your Bazi chart and personalizing your readings. Providing birth time and birthplace is optional; charts are less precise without them.

3.3 Content you create

Readings you purchase, wishes you publish to the Dome of Wishes, and messages you send in AI Dialogue. Wishes may be visible to other users in anonymized form; they contain no birth data unless you write it in yourself.

3.4 Automatically processed data

Device model, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and coarse usage analytics (screens viewed, features used). We use this to keep the app working and to improve it. We do not use this data to build advertising profiles.

3.5 Payments

Purchases are processed exclusively by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never receive or store your full payment card details; we receive a receipt and the entitlement you purchased.

3.6 The web free tools

The free Bazi chart tool on fatecho.app computes your chart locally in your browser. Birth details entered there are not transmitted to our servers and are not stored.

4. How we use data

• To create your account and keep it secure.
• To compute charts and generate the readings you request.
• To provide AI Dialogue, using your purchased books as context.
• To send service messages (sign-in codes, receipts). Marketing email is opt-in only.
• To detect abuse, debug crashes, and improve the product in aggregate.

We do not use your data for automated decisions with legal effect, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

5. Third-party processors

We share the minimum necessary data with these categories of providers, under data-processing agreements:

• AI interpretation providers — large-language-model services that receive only the text needed to generate a reading (chart parameters and prompt context), under data-processing agreements.
• Cloud hosting and storage providers that run the Fatecho service.
• Email delivery providers for sign-in and transactional mail.
• Apple and Google for in-app purchases and store services.

6. Retention

Account and birth data are retained while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, birth data, charts and purchased content from production systems, typically within 30 days; anonymized, aggregated statistics may persist. Backups are purged on a rolling cycle of up to 90 days.

7. Your rights

• Access & portability — export your data (including birth data and purchased books) from the app, or request a copy by email.
• Correction — edit your birth data and profile at any time.
• Deletion — delete your account in-app or by email; we don't require you to jump through hoops.
• Withdrawal of consent — disable optional analytics and marketing email without losing your account.
• Complaint — contact us first; depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any right, use in-app settings or email[email protected]. We respond within 30 days.

8. Children

Fatecho is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and sensitive fields are encrypted at rest. Access to production data is limited to personnel who need it to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you as required by law.

10. International transfers

We operate globally and process data in countries that may differ from yours. Where required, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

11. Entertainment disclaimer

Fatecho provides charts and readings for entertainment and self-exploration purposes only. Nothing in the app or on this site is medical, psychological, legal, financial or professional advice. Never delay seeking professional advice because of something Fatecho tells you.

12. Changes to this policy

We will announce material changes in the app and update the date above. Continued use after an effective change constitutes acceptance.
